Last night we hosted our annual poker tournament at the Dickens Inn, St Katherine’s Docks. In attendance were a whole host of performance marketing professionals, including advertisers, agencies and publishers.
Guests networked whilst enjoying chilled beers and wine from the bar, accompanied by the Dickens’ Inn infamous pizzas, antipasti, salad and delicious snacks.
With a mixture of poker abilities guests we offered a training session before the tournament began. The mood was informal and relaxed, although this did change when we reached the final table of the tournament. As our longest tournament to date (5 and a half hours) it was a tough feat to make it to the final table of 10. Congratulations must go to our winner Sean Longstaff, GDM who walked away with an amazing prize, courtesy of Thomas Cook Airlines, two return flights to NYC. Runner up George Bett, Found, happily collected his prize, dinner for two at Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner, Mandarin Oriental. The third prize kindly supplied by Red Letter Days a 5 course tasting lunch menu at Gordon Ramsey’s Petrus was awarded to Matt Wood, Vouchercloud.
Special mention must also go to George Bett who was awarded the best hand of the evening.
Thanks must go to our sponsors Thomas Cook Airlines and Red Letter Days.
We were really pleased with the turnout so thanks to all who came along and made it such a memorable event.
We look forward to seeing you at next years event for another fun evening! Time to get practicing…
