affilinet goes to Blogfest

Two weeks ago myself and 3 of the affilinet team headed along to the Mumsnet Blogfest conference at Kings Place London. This year we were lucky enough to sponsor the event giving us the opportunity to meet bloggers on the Mumsnet blogger network whilst also attending some  of the insightful sessions  on offer at the one day event.

The event itself saw 350 Mumsnet bloggers in attendance to discuss big issues, pick up top blogging tips and meet other bloggers on the network. The day itself comprised of a mixture of panel discussions, keynote speeches and skill sharing workshops and roundtables.

The affilinet blogger café provided attendees with freshly brewed artisan coffee throughout the event and homemade chocolate brownies, which certainly were popular! Our team were on hand to give attendees tips on how to make money from their blog and discuss the tools available to bloggers on the affilinet platform. Bloggers were also able to pick up a copy of our book on how to make money blogging, written by our head of operations Paul Brown.

The event had a fantastic agenda including sessions from top UK bloggers and industry experts. This year we sponsored a skill sharing roundtable on how to make money from your blog. This informal skill sharing workshop was popular with attendees keen to engage in a discussion about blog monetisation. Moderated by Alison Perry, attendees included Paul Brown, affilinet, Alice Judge-Talbot, More than Toast, Emma Wight-Boycott, Emma Nutrition and Tara Cain, Sticky Fingers. The session itself took the form of an informal and engaging discussion with bloggers actively engaging in debates centred on, sponsored posts and tweets, the appropriate ways to set about monetising your blog and how to write a non-biased review.

Until next year!
