Putting partners in the spotlight at affilinet presents

Opportunity was at the top of the agenda at yesterday’s ‘partner showcase’ event. The event, held in the luxurious surroundings of The Cinema Room in Sanctum Hotel, was the first in our “affilinet presents” series and was designed to showcase new partners and present business opportunities to advertisers. Paul Brown, affilinet’s Senior Strategy Manager, set the scene with a strategic overview of three key themes that underpinned many of the day’s presentations:

– ‘Big Data’ and how it applies to performance marketing today
– How data is nothing without actionable analysis
– Incrementality vs the value of performance marketing

Joshna Patel from Red Letter Days then took to the stage to describe her experience as an advertiser and how their approach has enabled their affiliate activity to grow to account for 27% of all online sales generated. Joshna explained that it is key for advertisers to be flexible, willing to trial new opportunities, dynamic, open and communicative with publishers.

The partner showcase element of the event then kicked off, highlighting opportunities of working within channels such as search, email, voucher codes, cash back, dynamic creative retargeting, micro affiliation and email remarketing. These short 15-minute presentations offered concise advice on working within the channel, overcoming hurdles to implementing new opportunities and the future of the space.

Over the course of the next week , the affilinet team will be publishing a series of short takeaways from each of the showcases. We will also be hosting the presentations online and publishing video footage from the event, so keep your eyes peeled!
