Christmas is one of the busiest times of year for retailers, but the question is when and how do consumers shop online?
To make life a little easier, we’ve prepared a round up of online shopping during last year’s Christmas period in our Christmas infographic.
Over the last few years, we’ve seen a US Thanksgiving tradition become the UK’s busiest shopping period in the calendar, and it’s completely changing the way retailers and brands plan for and organise promotional activity in the run up to and over the Christmas period.
When you factor in the different devices that people are shopping on that 5/10 years ago weren’t so prevalent, it’s a totally different shopping landscape that everyone is having to adjust to. Tablets and mobile are enabling sales that otherwise wouldn’t be happening because people are still able to go to work and fit shopping around all the things they normally do. Marketers need to not only recognise the key times they should be landing offers in consumers laps, but also consider how that offer is arriving at the consumer’s feet
