For our latest addition to our a day in a life series, I decided to sit down with Laura Kennedy, eCommerce Manager at Princess Cruises, to find out more about her role and Princess Cruises’ unique offering. Find out more below. 

What does your role at Princess Cruises involve? What is your favourite part of your current role?

I recently joined Princess Cruises as an eCommerce Manager so my focus is on driving online bookings through a range of digital marketing activities including email, PPC, affiliates and social media and managing updates to the website. My favourite part of this role is having an exciting, luxurious product to promote which creates great opportunities for rich and engaging content for use online.

Could you tell me a bit about Princess Cruises as a brand?

Princess Patricia was our first ship sailing in Mexico in 1965. In 2015 we now have 18 ships and are proud to celebrate 50 years of Princess Cruises. Princess Cruises was the first liner to introduce balcony staterooms, 24 hour dining and weddings at sea and always strive to be first to deliver new onboard experiences for our guests. We position ourselves as a premium brand delivering enriching, quality experiences as well as maintaining excellent value for money.

What are you looking to achieve by launching an affiliate program with affilinet?

We are hoping to drive growth in our direct business by increasing our level of new to brand visitors to the site which convert to online bookings. There will be a particular focus on driving bookings for European sailings from the UK.

Can you give us a quick overview of your program to potential partners and the top reasons to work with Princess Cruises as a publisher?

A 4% commission is available on all referred bookings completed online and we often have limited time offers and competitive fares to encourage conversions. We can provide a range of banner files to help with promotion and these are regularly updated with our latest offers and campaigns.

What are Princess Cruises’ unique selling points?

Princess Cruises are the destination experts – We visit over 330 ports of call worldwide, more than any other cruise line. All of our ships offer the same enriching onboard experience and we attract an international clientele. Our onboard service is second to none as our friendly staff really take the time to offer a warm, genuine service.

What’s your dream holiday destination?

My dream holiday destination is Hawaii, perhaps I’ll get to sail there on a Princess ship one day!

Finally… what was the last thing you ordered online?

The last thing I ordered online was a Michael McIntyre DVD for my Dad’s Christmas present!
