An Insight into Illamasqua and their Affiliate Program with Georgie Bell

We were really excited to see the launch of Illamasqua cosmetics brand onto our network in September. To coincide with this I interviewed Georgie Bell- Online Marketing Executive at Illamasqua to find out more about the brand and why they have chosen to launch an affiliate marketing program.

Georgina Bell Photo bwWe love the look of your products! What would you say makes Illamasqua stand out in the marketplace?

Thank you- we love them too! Illamasqua is completely different to anything you will have tried before, so I’d say it is the fact that Illamasqua constantly innovates to create brand new and exciting products that you can’t find anywhere else. Illamasqua isn’t your usual collection of make-up either; from stand-out colours, to award winning foundations, we cater for both your everyday look and your more extravagant evening style ! We are Colour. You are Beauty.

What kind of audience buys your products?

Each of our products is of the highest professional standard, but we make this quality accessible to all! Everyone can find their perfect Illamasqua look; male and female, younger and older. Each collection we launch is designed to fit a different aspect of your personality such as our most recent; The Sacred Hour. This collection was based around the two times of day we all apply make-up; at dawn and dusk.

With London Fashion Week just behind us, what are the key make-up trends for A/W 2014?

Our new collection ‘The Sacred Hour’ includes some of the key trends we have seen for AW. The catwalks were full of feral brows, dewy skin and stained lips- and this is what the core products of the collection help you to achieve. We have based this collection around the Dawn spirit and Dusk warrior to capture the two times of day we all use make-up.  Look out for our Skin Base Lift to achieve the on-trend dewy finish, and our Reflection Palette and lipstick in Shard for the dusky evening warrior look.

What was the last product you bought from Illamasqua?

We have recently launched a new primer called Hydra Veil which we can’t begin to imagine living without, and I bought one of these for my Mum. We use Hydra Veil as the perfect base for our make-up and it creates a smooth, hydrated surface ready for the application of our award-winning skin base foundation. I’ve never tried anything like it, and it really makes all the difference – just ask my mum!

What are you looking to achieve by launching an affiliate marketing program with affilinet?

Once you try Illamasqua products, it is hard to use anything else. This means we are lucky enough to already have a large and loyal customer base; however we would like to expand this with the help of our affiliates. We are constantly looking for ways to spread the word of Illamasqua’s products and we know that there are some fantastic like-minded sites that we could work with (with Affilinet’s help of course!).

Can you give a quick overview of your program to potential partners and give reasons to work with Illamaqua?

We offer 6% on commission of all sales, including our make-up courses. Our affiliates will be amongst the first to know about our exciting new products and collections along with any offers we are running on the site. We will also be offering the chance to enter competitions exclusive to our affiliates, such as winning two day passes to The Illamasqua Distinction in Make-up Artistry Awards 2013. We love working as part of the Illamasqua team and want our affiliates to feel the same. This is why we will always be contactable to answer any questions or help our affiliates in any way we can.
