Getting to know – Joshna Patel at Red Letter Days

JoshnaPatel It’s been a good week for Joshna Patel, Affiliate Manager at Red Letter Days, having celebrated both her birthday and multiple nominations, including Hotshot Rising Star, at the A4U Awards. Our 60 second interview gives a snapshot of the secrets to her success and to find out more you can join us Internet Retailing Expo next week, where we will be presenting with Joshna about maximising online sales through affiliate marketing.

Firstly, Happy Birthday for yesterday Joshna! How did you celebrate?
Thanks very much. Well I had to work – but luckily it was a fun day, out of the office, at a very important “meeting” networking with some industry gurus.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Enthusiastic, chatty (so much so I lost my voice last week), sunshine

If you were granted one wish what would it be?
World peace??? Isn’t that the diplomatic answer?!

With Mother’s Day just round the corner, what would you get your Mum from the Red Letter Days gift selection?
A boutique escape for two – she does so well with putting up with me and siblings that it’s only fair that she has a relaxing break with my father.

You will be joining us at the affilinet pub quiz next week, what will your specialist round be?
Drinking…I think I will excel at that

Congratulations on being shortlisted for the A4U Rising Star award, what’s the secret to your success as an affiliate manager?
Being approachable and willing to help wherever I can

Where do you ultimately want to rise to?
World domination…seriously I plan to stay around the affiliate industry so hopefully I shall be progressing within it.

You’ve been Affiliate Manager at Red Letter Days for over 3 years now, what has been the most notable change in the industry in that time?
I think the main thing that I have noticed is how big the affiliate industry has become over time and how much more it is making its presence known within the online stratosphere…’m definitely proud to be part of it

You are speaking at the Internet Retailing Expo next week, what affiliate marketing insight will you be offering to retailers?
Hopefully I will be able to emphasise the importance of affiliate marketing and how it can be very successful for a business as long as it has the correct resource.

It is well know that Red Letter Days is owned by Dragons Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis, do you think their entrepreneurial spirit reflected in the way the online team does business?
I think as a business we are constantly adapting to the market and being in the online team we need to keep ahead of the game in order to succeed. Obviously the dragons are well known for selecting great ideas and concepts and I think this is well represented within the business
