This week we interviewed Nicola Dunger, who has recently joined the affilinet team as Key Account Manager. She will be responsible for managing the Virgin Holidays, Fly Thomas Cook, Webuyanycar.com and Next programs among others.
Welcome to the team Nicola! Let’s get to know you a little, how would you describe yourself in three words.
Motivated, loyal, excitable
If you were granted one wish what would it be?
Being able to speak any language in the world. Every time I go away I wish I had more than limited Spanish…
What was the last thing you bought online?
Etip gloves as a present… avoids having to take gloves off to use your iPhone when it’s freezing!
Where is your favourite place in the world?
I generally love going to anywhere new so it’s prone to change, but at the moment it’d be Marrakech. Not exactly ‘relaxing’ as it’s so busy but there’s plenty see, smell, hear and do… plus the souks have pretty jewellery 🙂
How many years have you been working in online and affiliate marketing?
Online for 4 years, and in affiliate marketing for around half of that.
Name a few of the advertisers you have worked with.
RBS Insurance (Direct Line, Churchill, Greenflag, Natwest), PDSA, Bennetts Bike Insurance, IceSave, CRUK.
What’s the best piece of advice you’d give advertisers that have just launched an affiliate marketing program?
Apart from use the lovely people at affilinet as your network? Get to know the publishers on your campaign, build relationships and knowledge about them.
What is your top affiliate marketing tip?
Try, test, optimize. The great thing is how accountable it can be, so trial new idea’s to see how they perform even if on a small scale… then learn from it.
Next week we get to know Tenielle Stirzaker, Client Services Director at Freemax Media.
