With over 7 ½ years’ experience in the affiliate industry Rich joins our team as a Publisher Development Manager.  I decided to ask him a few questions about his role at affilinet and the industry find out more below…

You reRichcently worked in Berlin for the past year- how does the UK performance marketing industry differ?

Coming from an Advertiser background, I would say that Advertisers certainly seem to be more engaged with their networks here in the UK than they are in Germany.

What do you think of affilinet so far?

So far, so good. The team have been really welcoming and you can tell there are a lot of people here who have really good experience and want to drive the company forward.

You join affilinet as a Publisher Development Manager-what does your new role at affilinet involve?

I have been brought in on the Publisher side, and will be working with the team here in the UK and also in Germany on a new project that we are hoping will extend the range of publishers that our advertisers can hit.  We are at the very early stages of this project but once we get up and running we see it being a big success.  Additionally, I will be looking at providing more data insight to the UK office and to our existing and potential new clients.

What do you think will be the key developments in the affiliate marketing industry this year?

Performance Display and RTB will continue to grow throughout the year. More and more advertisers are increasing their spend in this area and it is a big challenge for the traditional Affiliate Network to go up against.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that the team doesn’t know

I was once fortunate enough to kick a ball around with Manchester United legend Bryan Robson. Its lasted about 2 minutes but he said I had potential. I don’t know what went wrong.
