Getting to Know…Stephanie Lester, affilinet

StephSteph recently joined affilinet as intern, after completing her degree in Business and Management last year. I decided to sit down with Steph and find out what attracted her to the affiliate industry and what she hopes to learn from her internship at affilinet. Find out more below…

You recently joined affilinet, what do you think so far?

I’m loving it! I’ve only been here a few days and I already feel like I’ve been part of the team for ages! It’s a great environment to work in and I’m really enjoying it.

What excited you the most about affiliate marketing?

It’s constantly evolving, new technologies and affiliates are always entering the market, enabling me to constantly learn and be kept on my toes. I love the balance between being creative and strategic in order to maximise performance for clients.

Tell me a bit about your new job role as an intern?

I’m interning within the Account Management department, helping out with some of affilinet’s retail clients. My current responsibilities are to help out with recruiting new affiliates and reach out to existing affiliates that aren’t currently driving a lot of traffic.

What are the key takeaways that you hope to gain from this internship?

I’m hoping to gain a really good insight into all elements of the affiliate industry and learn more about building and maintaining relationships with clients and affiliates. I’ve already learnt so much over the past few days so I can only imagine how much wiser I will be a couple months down the line!

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Bouncy, ambitious and driven

What’s the last thing you purchased online?

Unfortunately nothing too exciting… I ordered a new phone cover recently with the aim to save me from cracking my screen ( again )!
