This week we interviewed Tenielle Stirzaker, Client Services Director at Freemax Media to discuss the future of email marketing, top tips for advertisers wanting to work with Freemax and her thoughts on the recent Ashes results…
Describe yourself in three words
Well I’m Australian so I guess that would make me loud, arrogant and Fosters loving right?
If you weren’t Client Services Director at Freemax what would you be doing?
I’ve always fancied the idea of throwing in my job to work on a yacht in the Caribbean or something
As London Fashion Week starts this week, what’s your biggest fashion faux pas?
My infamous Smurf outfit
If you were granted one wish what would it be?
To be able to teleport. Being able to travel the world instantaneously and for FREE would be amazing!
What’s your secret skill?
I have been known to consider myself a bit of a gymnast after a few drinks. As a result I have been witnessed doing flips in the street, back yard, beach… whatever space is available really. I tend to wake up feeling very sore and sorry for myself.
As an Australian, do you have any interest in the Ashes being retained by England?
What’s been the greatest achievement for you at Freemax?
Being selected for this interview of course
Do you have three top tips for clients wanting to work with you?
Take us to dinner, take us for drinks, send us a freebie 🙂 Nah, in all seriousness we’re pretty open to testing most things. Approach us with a compelling offer at an appropriate payout and we’ll look into it.
What role do you see email as playing in the affiliate mix in 2011?
I think it will continue to grow, especially performance-based email. Email and Social Media are becoming essential to engaging with new customers.
What are Freemax working on outside of email at the moment which could be of interest to our clients?
We are moving in several directions – content web sites, CRM programs beyond acquisition and using our data to create rich behaviour profiles.
Next week we are getting to know the recently appointed IAB affiliate marketing council chair and Senior Online Marketing Manager at BSkyB Helen Southgate.
