Helen Southgate appointed as affilinet UK MD

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Southgate as Managing Director of affilinet UK. Helen joins us from BSkyB, where she was responsible for the broadcaster’s online marketing planning and strategy. She has eleven years experience in performance marketing and in 2011 was the IAB Affiliate Marketing Council Chair.

Following confirmation of her appointment in the role, Helen said, “In the last couple of years performance marketing has really widened in scope. Clients are looking for more added value and a better understanding of how performance marketing fits into the overall marketing mix. This shift has created a gap in the market for a network that can do things differently. affilinet has already started to capitalise on this and with its team, experience and flair is very much starting to lead the industry from the front.”

Helen will start her new role in May 2013. Her primary focus will be to grow business in the UK, but she will also work alongside other country managers to grow the network at a European level.

Speaking regarding Helen’s appointment in the role, Dorothea von Wichert-Nick, our CEO said “Helen is exceptionally dynamic. She has a real passion for the industry and is renowned for pushing boundaries. We believe that clients will really benefit from her drive, vision and unique understanding of how the industry is developing.  This knowledge combined with the power of our network is going to enable affilinet to achieve great things over the coming months and years.”

We look forward to welcoming Helen to the team in May!

  1. Its great to see affilinet bring somebody in from the client side, particularly somebody with Helens level of experience.

This sounds like a great decision to me and great step up for her.
