My role here at iProspect covers a wide range of responsibilities as our team not only covers traditional affiliate management but also lead generation and product feeds. Day to day I’m responsible for ensuring the overarching strategy for all of our clients, across each product, is being implemented effectively, and working with our clients to ensure their affiliate/lead generation campaigns are working productively alongside their other media channels. I’m also heavily involved in the new business side of our team, helping pitch to other clients within the Aegis Media Group as well as new prospective clients and driving incremental team revenue.
In order to fulfil this role effectively, one of the most important skills is being organised, as in any one day I can be juggling numerous clients and projects and I have to ensure that nothing gets missed and all clients receive the same high level of service. Being innovative is another important skill set as clients are more and more frequently looking for us to come up with new formats and ideas that can expand their current performance marketing activity beyond what they currently utilise. This means we’re constantly on the lookout for new technology partners and publishers that can help us achieve our clients’ goals and expectations.
It’s very rare for two days to be the same in my role with some consisting of constant meetings with either clients or other teams internally whilst others involve general day to day management of my clients. I’ll normally catch up with another member of my team who works across the same set of accounts to discuss any potential issues and the rest of the time will involve ensuring we, as a team, are meeting the overall client KPI’s.
Working at iProspect allows me to always be involved in new and upcoming trends within digital media. We seem to be constantly expanding our product offerings to help meet clients needs and it’s great to be a part of that and witness the rapid growth of not only iProspect, but the digital sector as a whole. Since I started at iProspect 3 years ago we have doubled in staff each year and it’s great to be involved in such a fast paced environment and the affiliate channel is becoming an ever more important part of this. It’s also great to work across a range of client verticals, with each sector having their own requirements and challenges.
My advice for anyone who wishes to work in this industry is to always be looking to the next big thing. Digital is constantly evolving and brand’s are always looking for new and innovative ways to help drive results and whether that be social, mobile or attribution, I think it’s important to keep up with the latest trends and try to stay one step ahead.
