Clarissa recently joined the affilinet team as a Senior Account Manager. I decided to sit down and ask her a few questions about her new role and what attracted her to the industry. Find out more below.
- You recently joined affilinet, what do you think so far?
I have been at affilinet for over a month now and I totally love it! Everyone is lovely and the team is tightknit. I feel lucky to join such a hard-working and knowledgeable team, who are also very active on the social side: so far, my night outs with them have been hilarious!
- Tell me about your previous experience?
I have been around… I started in affiliate marketing back in 2012, then decided to explore the wider digital marketing industry and I ended up working for everyone’s favourite newspaper, the Daily Mail. Then, after a stint in agency side, I decided to go back to where I have started.
- Tell me a bit about your new job role as Senior Account Manager?
I work with NOW TV and Holiday Autos, two very different clients in two very different industries, but I love them both! Being a cinema enthusiast, working with NOW TV is very exciting, I get to work on the strategy and roadmaps to raise the brand’s profile and to promote their passes and Combo products. Entertainment is such a competitive and ever evolving market which pushes you to always be on the top of trends and to ideate creative campaigns to promote your services in a unique way. On the other hand, Holiday Auto is a well-known brand in an established industry and this presents a different set of challenges. As competition is quite fierce in this sector, a lot of work I do with this client is based on establish and nurturing long lasting relationships with the publishers and partners that promote us.
- What attracted you to the industry?
I always felt digital advertising gives the opportunity for better targeted campaigns, offering a much more personal experience to the consumer and a better ROI to advertisers. Nowadays affiliate marketing gives you the opportunity and freedom to create and activate all those kinds of partnerships that other channels are not capable of setting up. It also gives advertisers the opportunity to put their product in front of the consumer’s eye in a less invasive way.
- Describe yourself in 3 words?
Passionate, resilient and loud…I am Italian after all!
- Tell us an interesting fact about yourself that the team doesn’t know?
I still have a baby tooth, the adult one never came out!
- Finally, what was the last purchase you made online?
Shampoo and hair mask from all-natural Italian brand Noah, they were £13 each but are the only products that rule my hair, as it has a life of its own.
