For our latest addition to our day in the life series, I decided to sit down with Maulik Patel, Director at Dealslands to find out about his role and Dealslands’ unique selling points.
- What does your role involve at Dealslands?
Being the Director at Dealslands, my role involves almost everything from general management to brand management. I contribute a little in all the departments like SEO, PPC, SMM, UX, development, sales & marketing and even accounting but I am an enthusiastic market researcher. I try to find the best offers for the customers and feel glad to provide those exclusive vouchers and deals which give them a happy shopping experience.
- Tell me about a typical day at work?
Although my day starts with some workouts, prayers and well-wishes, once I step in my office, I quickly check my emails and respond to the ones I can. I call up my Sales team to discuss the previous day’s work and the daily targets, before catching up with other members of staff for go through important tasks. After that I would continue to check out the statistics and click through rates of the discounts that we are offering and the visibility of the brands that we are pushing to decide the best promos and deals we can pull together for the customers.

I found my niece searching for a game console that would allow her to play games on her PC at home. So, I purchased an X Box One for her last week. She is really crazy about gadgets and has almost all the latest digital machines to play with.
- What are the top 3 websites you can be found browsing on during lunch?
I can’t stop myself surfing Google News for the latest news in the world. Other websites which I regularly visit are BBC, TechCrunch and Moz, to stay updated on the newest technologies and digital marketing trends.
