Mehdi recently joined affilinet as an intern, while on a Gap year from studying Digital Marketing at Business school in France. I decided to sit down with Mehdi to find out what attracted him to the affiliate industry and what he hopes to learn from his internship at affilinet. Find out more below…
You recently joined affilinet, what do you think so far?
I’m very glad to be here. The team are amazing, everyone is nice and helpful and I’m happy to learn new things with all of you guys!
What excited you the most about affiliate marketing?
To work with different actors to achieve the same objective in a sector in constant evolution. For me, it’s exciting because there are a lot of steps and process to develop the client’s programme and I like to relational side of the work.
Tell me a bit about your new job role as an internship?
I’m working as a Client Services Assistant. My role is to help the Account Director’s with key projects across their portfolio of accounts.
You have come from France, so what made you do an internship in London?
First of all, I had to do an internship in a foreign country to validate my first year of my master’s degree but mainly by the fact that I love to travel and discover other countries, cities, cultures, etc. I already knew London but it’s a city I like very much so, that’s why I’m here!
What are the key takeaways that you hope to gain from this internship?
I hope I will gain more skills and knowledge in affiliate and marketing side. As, I already worked at a publisher I wanted to see the other side and gain an understanding of the whole affiliate marketing process. I’m also here to improve my English too.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Motivated, curious and loyal.
Finally… what was the last purchase you made online?
I finally ordered my English sim card online yesterday.
